Translator - English into Chinese (simplified)
Your responsibilities: You will translate and carry out quality assurance of texts mainly from the field of banking (OR life science), but also insurance, marketing, and others. You will also assist, where applicable, in special projects such as termi-nology. You will apply your experience in the linguistic field in working together with our international clientele.
Your profile: You are a Chinese native speaker (Mandarin), have translation qualifications (degree level or higher) in English as source language (any additional source language a plus) and have worked as a translator in the financial (or life sci-ence) sector for several years.
Alternatively, you are an experienced specialist with Chinese (Mandarin) as your na-tive tongue, have an excellent knowledge of English (any additional foreign language a plus) and several years of professional experience.
Additional experience in copywriting is a plus. You will be able to integrate quickly into a new environment, get along with people from different cultural backgrounds and make the most of the scope for personal initiative placed at your disposal. An excellent knowledge of common software applications such as MS Office is a prereq-uisite. You will also be fully proficient in SDL Trados products and know how to use them appropriately in your day-to-day work. As a self-starter, you will have the nec-essary skills to deal with our demanding clientele.
