On 29 September 2011, Christine Kamer Diehl, Senior Language Quality Manager at CLS Communication represented CLS Communication as a keynote speaker to the Translator Profile symposium organised by the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission in Brussels. The participants included academic representatives of the European Master's in Translation (EMT) programmes as well as other invited guests from the language industry.

The EMT's main aim is to promote quality in translator training and a shared system of minimal translators' qualifications. The objective of the symposium was  to identify synergies and come up with a series of concrete recommendations for various actors (institutional employers, academia, translator community and language businesses).
