Financial training courses for translators
The next financial training course will be held on
9 and 10 January 2012
The courses are aimed at media professionals who wish to improve their technical knowledge of financial concepts. The course will cover the key areas encountered by financial translators (macroeconomics, bonds, equities, asset management, financial statements, etc.). CLS believes that good financial translating and writing requires a good understanding of financial concepts: the aim of this course is to give translators a solid grounding in the key areas of finance. The course will consist of eight 90-minute modules.
The course leader is Daniel Morgan, a freelance financial specialist who has recently worked as a senior financial translator at a large Swiss bank. He also has first-hand experience of corporate finance and derivatives from his time as an investment banker. The course is suited to post-graduate translators, established freelancers, and other media professionals wishing to hone their understanding of finance skills. It will be given in English and is open to attendees of all languages. To book a place, please fill out a registration form.
The courses cost £500 and are being held at our London offices, 14-20 Shand Street, 2nd floor, London SE1 2ES. Please contact +44 203 117 2800 or luke.wilkins@cls-communication.com for further information.
