Greater Impact at the Point of Sale
Together with its distribution partner, a mobile communication provider is opening a new and innovative type of sales outlet. One of the novel features is that sales staff can configure customers' mobile devices while they wait. In order to do this, the staff require the instruction manuals for several hundred devices to be available electronically in a number of languages. At the start of the project, CLS analyses the texts to be translated and finds that certain passages are repeated quite frequently with similar wording. These passages are simply translated once and saved in a database reserved specifically for the client. As a result, the translation costs for this project are around 70% lower than for normal translations.
