An expanding company with a proven track record
Originally incorporated in 1997 as a spin-off company led by CEO Doris Albisser, CLS Communication has steadily grown to become a globally active, complete language translation, editing and writing services provider.

CLS Communication continues to build on its proven track record as a dynamic provider working with major companies around the world. The management has followed a clear international expansion strategy since the buyout of former majority shareholders in January 2003, acquiring language service providers outside Switzerland and opening new locations in Europe, North America and Asia.

The company recently won a new majority shareholder, Swiss-based private equity fund Zurmont Madison, through a substantial capital increase and a partial buyout of existing shareholders. CLS Communication has gone on to acquire Scandinavian Translators in Copenhagen and launch CLS Lexi-tech in Canada following the acquisition of Lexi-tech International, Canada's leading language services provider.

Most recently, in January 2013, CLS Communication acquired technical documentation translation specialist, 4-Text. The company is based in Berlin and employs over 60 permanent staff and 200 freelance translators.
