HR Officer

As a leading provider of multilingual communication services, CLS Communication has grown steadily since its establishment in 1997. Offering a comprehensive range of services for end-to-end multilingual text management, with a strong focus on finance, the company is a major player with a global reach, operating in Europe, North America and the Far East. In the UK, the company has enjoyed a period of strong growth and success and to continue this expansion we are now looking for a:


HR Officer

c. £35,000 package + benefits in central London location

The role:

  • Managing HR issues (knowledge of employment law; liaising with employment lawyers; drafting, issue and modification of contracts; liaison with HR in Switzerland; contact for, and management, of staff disputes; management of PMM process; preparation of training for new staff).
  • Management and provision of temporary staff; management of student placements.
  • Management and provision of information relating to staff benefits (pension, medical and life insurance, cycle scheme, eye tests, training, etc.)
  • Recruitment (liaising with recruitment agencies, devising recruitment criteria, procurement and placement of recruitment ads, management of booths at recruitment fairs)
  • General office management (management of internal security; management of internal modifications to office space; liaising with external contractors for repairs and cleaning).
  • Facilities management (liaising with phone companies for mobiles and blackberries, internal phone management, desk provision and management, liaising with landlord re permissions, repairs, problems, etc.).
  • IT contact with central IT services in Switzerland. Low-level IT support.
  • Extraordinary projects (eg management of translator training courses).
  • Reporting directly to CLS UK’s CEO.



The person:

  • At least 3 years in HR and formal training or qualification.
  • A hands-on problem-solver with a good understanding and management of practical issues.
  • Able to develop and manage good social relationships with staff and external suppliers.
  • A fluent speaker of English. German (or other languages) would be an advantage though not essential.
