CLS to join Legal Charity Walk 2011 on 16 May
On 16 May “CLS & Friends” comprising CLS staff from the London Office and “Friends” will join thousands of lawyers for a 10km "after work" walk to raise funds for legal advice agencies in London and the South East. Led by the Lord Chief Justice, the Master of the Rolls, the Presidents of the Law Society and ILEX and the Chair of the Bar Council. Last year 4,500 walkers raised £400,000. So that is the target to beat.
We will start out from the Royal Courts of Justice through temple to the Embankment. Along to Northumberland Avenue and up to The Mall. Along to Buckingham Palace and then through Green Park, in to Hyde Park and across the Serpentine half way up to start back through the parks, back through Hyde Park corner and along Pall Mall and the Strand to arrive at the Law Society in Chancery Lane at the end.
This is the 7th London Legal sponsored walk but the first time CLS will be participating.
